ISAT organized a professional development, cultural study trip seminar for our member schools’ Thai teachers. They had opportunities to explore and learn in-depth culture and history of Khmer empire in Siem Reap, Cambodia on 5-7 July 2017. The renowned temples of Cambodia which are several world heritage sites displaying ancient khmer art and wisdom including Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon, Ta Phrom, and Banteay Srei were visited. The 54 teacher participants have learned the intercultural perspective of Thailand and Cambodia and were also engaged in the discussion, sharing ideas and reviewing draft learning standards of the Thai curriculum during the workshop led by Dr. Kaanwarin Polanunt. They found the learning through discussion of various ideas greatly beneficial and totally enjoyed a networking trip.
