Accreditation

Accreditation

Accreditation serves as a fundamental aspect of quality assurance for international schools in Thailand, representing a significant benchmark for academic excellence and institutional integrity. By law, every international school in Thailand is required to secure accreditation from a recognized overseas agency by the end of its fifth year of operation. This thorough process reflects an ongoing commitment to uphold and enhance quality across various dimensions, including operations, policy, curriculum, teaching practices, and student well-being. Schools are typically granted accreditation for a designated period, necessitating regular re-accreditation and a sustained dedication to maintaining and elevating educational standards.

In addition, all international schools in Thailand are required to undergo accreditation from the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA). ONESQA is a respected public organization established to ensure that educational institutions across Thailand adhere to and uphold national quality standards.

The International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) is an esteemed organization composed of international schools that are either actively pursuing or have successfully achieved the rigorous standards set by recognized accreditation bodies acknowledged by the Office of Private Education Commissions (OPEC), under the Ministry of Education of Thailand. These accreditations objectively validate a school's commitment to maintaining high educational standards and meeting international benchmarks.

It is important to note that ISAT does not function as an accreditation agency. While we actively advocate for and support our member schools in their pursuit of excellence and adherence to recognized standards, the accreditation process itself is conducted independently by external, globally recognized bodies.
