On 7 October 2026, the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) formally conveyed its congratulations to Dr. Niti Nachit on his appointment as Secretary General of the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC), Ministry of Education.

Upon assuming his new role, Dr. Niti introduced his vision of “Transforming Thai Private Education into a Quality Organisation Driven by Outcomes and Trust,” emphasising that private education should be recognised not merely as an alternative, but as a key pillar in developing Thailand’s human capital.

To advance this vision, Dr. Niti outlined five core management pillars: outcome-driven management and backward design; integrated collaboration under “One OPEC”; data-driven operations powered by AI and technology; stronger networks, trust and accountability; and proactive public communication to encourage stakeholder engagement. These priorities aim to strengthen organisational effectiveness, improve educational outcomes, and build greater confidence in private education.

ISAT welcomes this vision and its emphasis on collaboration, accountability, and educational quality. The Association looks forward to continued engagement with Dr. Niti and OPEC to strengthen dialogue between the public and private education sectors, support the continued development of international education, and contribute to a high-quality, trusted, and sustainable education system in Thailand.

ISAT extends its best wishes to Dr. Niti for every success in his new role.
