Strengthening Quality Assurance in International Education: ONESQA, ISAT and International Accreditation Partners Join Forces
On 26 October 2026, the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA), in collaboration with the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) and international accreditation and school quality assurance organisations—WASC, CIS, NEASC, EDT, COBIS and ISI—held an External Quality Assurance Assessor Development Training for International Schools at the Secondary Campus of Bangkok International Preparatory & Secondary School.
The training brought together education quality assurance stakeholders to strengthen the understanding and practice of external assessment in the context of international education in Thailand. It aimed to promote a shared understanding of quality standards, support effective assessment practices, and reinforce a collective commitment to educational excellence and continuous improvement.
ISAT’s collaboration with ONESQA dates back to 2003, reflecting more than two decades of dialogue and cooperation to address challenges and strengthen quality assurance in international education. Continued collaboration among ONESQA, ISAT and international accreditation organisations is essential to ensuring that external quality assurance is rigorous, constructive and responsive to the diverse educational frameworks of international schools.
As Thailand’s international school sector continues to grow, maintaining high standards of educational quality remains a shared responsibility. Through ongoing cooperation, professional development and the exchange of expertise, all partners aim to ensure that quality assurance supports schools in their pursuit of continuous improvement and delivers positive outcomes for students.
ISAT extends its appreciation to ONESQA for its continued partnership, to the participating international accreditation organisations for their expertise and contributions, and to all assessors for their time, dedication and commitment to upholding the quality of international education in Thailand.
